Preamble
The name of the association is the Kadjar Family Association (hereinafter KFA) and the purpose of the association is to bring together the extended Kadjar family, descended from Fath-Ali Shah (1762-1834), ruler of Persia.

Article 1. Name
The organization will be called KFA

Article 2. Purpose
The aim of KFA is to gather together all those belonging to the extended Kadjar family, for social purposes. KFA does not have any political agenda.nations and endowments in pursuit of the above aims.

Article 3. Membership
Membership is open to those with proven family connections, whose application has been approved by a membership committee. Annual dues are payable by each member. Once per year, one copy of the journal "Qajar Studies" will be provided free of charge to each paid-up member.

Article 4. Officers & Committee
KFA will have a President and a Committee of nine members. The President is the Elder of the Kadjar Family, at any one time, and will only cast a vote in case of a tie. The Committee is the decision-making body of KFA. Decisions will be reached by a majority vote. Every three years, the Committee will be proposed from among the membership of KFA and elected by a majority vote of the membership. The Committee will designate any standing or sub-committee. Every member of the Committee will be pro bono.

Article 5. Duties of Committee
Each member of the Committee will be assigned a specific duty.

Article 6. Meetings
KFA will hold an annual general meeting of its membership, at which time all business and financial affairs will be discussed.
An Extraordinary General Meeting may be called at any time, upon the request of five or more members of the Committee.

Article 7. Finances
KFA is a non-profit organization. Any sums accrued, including but not exclusively from sale of publications and mementos, or from fees for gala dinner or reception will be expended for settling the cost of such services. Should any amount be left over, the same will be donated to the International Qajar Studies Association.
A financial report for the current year will be presented to the membership subsequent to each annual gathering and also be available at the next yearly gathering.

Article 8. Amendments
Amendment(s) to the Constitution may be proposed by five or more members of the Committee, upon which the said amendment(s) will be put to the ballot of the membership, passing by a simple majority.
